1. Log in to your primary account and select "Register New Generator" located under the "Asset Management" module.

2. Complete online registration form for each unit.

Note: Multiple units can be registered in one account.

3. Collect verification documents outlined below:

 

3.1 All units must submit proof or documentation of the following:

a. For Generating Units 1 MW and larger located within the U.S.:
i. EIA 860 for most recent calendar year and Utility Interconnection Agreement and proof or documentation of meter ID
ii. In addition for newer units, a Notification of Commercial Operation (i.e. Substantial Completion Certification)
or
iii. Notification of Commercial Operation (i.e. Substantial Completion Certification) and a PPA and Utility Interconnection Agreement and proof or documentation of revenue meter ID

b. For Generating Units smaller than 1 MW located within the U.S.:

i. Utility Interconnection Agreement and Manufacturer's specifications, and proof or documentation of meter ID
ii. Purchased Power Agreement (PPA)
iii. In addition for newer units, a Notification of Commercial Operation (i.e. Substantial Completion Certification)

c. For Generating Units 1 MW and larger located in Canada:

i. Utility Interconnection Agreement and Manufacturer's specifications, and proof or documentation of meter ID
ii. Purchased Power Agreement
iii. In addition for newer units, a Notification of Commercial Operation (i.e. Substantial Completion Certification)

d. For Generating Units smaller that 1 MW located in Canada:

i. Utility Interconnection Agreement and Manufacturer's specifications, and proof or documentation of meter ID
ii. Purchased Power Agreement
iii. In addition for newer units, a Notification of Commercial Operation (i.e. Substantial Completion Certification)

e. For Generating Units 1 MW and larger located in Mexico:

i. Utility Interconnection Agreement and Manufacturer's specifications, and proof or documentation of revenue meter ID
ii. Purchased Power Agreement
iii. In addition for newer units, a Notification of Commercial Operation (i.e. Substantial Completion Certification)

f. For Generating Units smaller that 1 MW located in Mexico:

i. Utility Interconnection Agreement and Manufacturer's specifications, and proof or documentation of revenue meter ID
ii. Purchased Power Agreement
iii. In addition for newer units, a Notification of Commercial Operation (i.e. Substantial Completion Certification)

3.2 For multi-fuel units, review 5.3.4 of the WREGIS Operating Rules. Please also provide documentation of methodology as outlined in WREGIS Operating Rules Appendix B-3.

 

3.3 For small scale solar aggregators, please provide documentation and methodology as outlined.

a. Appendix F (to Operating Rules) - Small Scale Solar Rooftop Aggregation

b. Provide documentation and a letter signed by the account holder contact outlining and attesting to the following on the account holder's company letterhead:

1. Aggregation Methodology

2. Permission to Aggregate (Proof of Registration Rights)

3. Registration Methodology you will use when registering your DG Aggregation Projects

i. Block Parameters

ii. Naming Conventions

c. Sample Small Scale Solar Aggregation Worksheet

Please note: In order to qualify as a Small Scale Solar Aggregator you must contact the WREGIS Administrator at (888) 225-4213. Any information submitted to the Administrator prior to being qualified will not be looked at until you do so.

4. Email verification documents to WREGIS at wregisadmin@wecc.biz.

5. Only when the online registration is complete, and the WREGIS Administrator receives the verification packet will WREGIS Staff will review the packet.

Note: The WREGIS Administrator reserves the right to request more documentation than is outlined above, if necessary. See disclaimer at the bottom of the page.

6. Once registration materials are complete and validated, an email notification describing activation will be sent to the contact email address provided on your online registration form.

Please note that WREGIS reserves the right to require the submission of any documents described within the WREGIS Operating Rules for use in the validation process. For more information regarding guideline, requirements, and rules governing generating units, refer to the WREGIS Operating Rules. Also note that the Account Holder is solely responsible for contacting and arranging data reporting with its Qualified Reporting Entity.
