The Western Renewable Energy Generation Information System (WREGIS) Committee is comprised of representatives of public and private sector entities. There are seven seats on the WREGIS Committee. Three of these seats are pre-assigned to the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC), the Western Governor's Association (WGA) and the California Energy Commission (CEC). These organizations fill these seats with representatives in accordance with their own procedures. The voting members of the Stakeholders Advisory Committee (SAC) elect the remaining representatives: one State/Provincial Representative and one each of the three subclasses within the Industry Participants category: Generators, Load Serving Entities, and Other. Any person/entity who would like to participate in the 2008 WREGIS Committee elections must register with the Stakeholder Advisory Committee. The registration period for SAC members eligible to vote in the 2008 election closes on February 28, 2008. You may register for SAC here. Only members of the SAC may nominate and vote for the WREGIS Committee members, and only for representatives within their own class or subclass. In this election, the voting members of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) will elect the following: · One Industry member load serving representative. · One Industry member generator representative. These representatives serve a two year term which will end in January, 2010. You may vote for candidates through February 29, 2008. Please remember you may vote only for a candidate in your own sub-class.
