Governance

WREGIS is governed by a Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) board committee, entitled the WREGIS Committee, that is comprised of appointed and elected representatives. The appointed representatives are taken from the three WREGIS program sponsors: the WECC, the Western Governors’ Association (WGA) and the California Energy Commission. The elected representatives are chosen by members of the Stakeholder Advisory Committee (SAC) to represent 4 distinct stakeholder groups: Load-Serving Entities, Generators, State/Provincial, and Industry-Other.
