PCR-159 - Mass Transfer CapabilityBonneville Power Administration has resubmitted PCR-159 as a request for WREGIS software to be modified in order to allow the mass transfer of RECs based on a single uploaded file. Background: BPA has approximately 150 public power customers and each year the Agency allocates RECs to customers who purchase them. This past year, BPA manually made over 1,000 REC transfers and that number could multiply significantly within the next two years. The ability to initiate transfers (which could also be expanded to REC retirements) via the submission of an uploaded file would allow all WREGIS users to execute the mass transfer of RECs. This ability should not only be a time saving device but would also be a more accurate transfer vehicle. BPA recognizes the recent upgrades made to the REC transfer capability. Those modifications should help with those doing mulitple transfers. However, with the potential for having to do several thousand transfers in a short time frame, BPA feels the option for mass uploads would further steamline the process plus would virtually eliminate the human error element that can occur in the current process. In addition, having records of the uploaded files would provide WREGIS users with documentation of their transfer/retirement activities. BPA has been in touch with James Webb @ APX and based on those discussions, can share the following:
The purpose of this message is to ascertain if there is a broad enough interest in these types of modifications such that it would benefit a number of WREGIS users, thus potentially qualifying for use of WREGIS system development funds that were provided by the CEC. Your comments regarding these modifications would be appreciated. PCR-181 - API for Automated Data DownloadsWe would like to obtain your input on a Change Control Request to create an Application Programming Interface (API) for automated downloads of account holder reports from WREGIS into account holder's systems. This request was presented by PG&E and discussed at the April 6th and May 4th SAC meetings. We are seeking your feedback on this Change Control Request in order to increase its benefit to more stakeholders. Our goal is to make this proposal as robust as possible, so that it may move forward as a SAC sponsored Change Control Request.
